do about it? Where can we start?
We can make the day before Martin Luther King Day (Sunday) a day for every
believer to invite someone of a different race to Church. In this way we can help
“Fulfill His Dream™”.
All holidays have some sort of action associated with them. On Independence Day
we watch fireworks and on Christmas we give gifts. Why not help to fulfill Dr. Kings
dream of love and brotherhood and invite someone of a different culture to worship
with us?
How Do We Do It?
This site contains a first-class DVD to be shown in the churches that explains the
program. In just six minutes the congregation will be inspired and motivated into
action.
It is very simple:
1. Show the 6 minute DVD in the church beginning 2-3 weeks before Martin
Luther King Sunday.
2. Make invitation cards available to church members to help them invite
those of other races.
This is a powerful tool that not only will help end segregation in the Church but can
bring millions to Christ. Since everyone knows about Martin Luther King Day, it
opens a door to invite someone to worship with us. It is as simple as saying: “In
honor of Martin Luther King this Sunday we are all inviting someone of a
different race to worship together at our church. Will you be my special
guest?"
Church segregation is now much larger than just “black and white” as multiplied
millions from other nations call the United States home. Multitudes of new families
have immigrated here. They are all looking to start a new life. We must integrate
them into our culture and let them know Jesus.
